Graphic and Communication Design

What You'll Learn

Graphic and Communication Design will prepare students for careers that communicate ideas and information to the public and include the areas of graphic communication, graphic design, digital media, advertising, and interactive multimedia skills and processes while gaining hands-on experience. The program covers design principles, research, layout, composition, marketing and branding, while also allowing students to create a personal portfolio showcasing their ideas and talents. Additionally, this program provides training opportunities in screen-printing, direct to film printing, large format printing and 3D modeling.

Students will engage in field trips, guest lectures, and real-world projects to connect classroom learning with industry practice. In addition to preparing students for career pathways, the program emphasizes creativity, technical skills, and critical thinking to build a strong foundation for college-level study in graphic communications and design.
