Northwest Agriscience and Environmental Technologies, Abbey Johnston, won a silver rating in the job interviewing competition at the Michigan FFA (Future Farmers of America) State Convention held March 6-8 at Michigan State University.
Johnston has several years as a member of the 4-H Club, a group where students complete hands-on projects in areas like health, science, agriculture and civic engagement. Johnston has spent the last six months as a member of FFA, Future Farmers of America.
Johnston worked hard, practicing her interview skills with many staff members at the Northwest campus. She is currently in her first year at OSTC-NW and is president of her local FFA classroom chapter. She aspires to become a Regional FFA Officer before completing her senior year next year.
"With the help of my advisor, Kendra Gossett, I was able to experience one of the greatest events I have ever been to," said Johnston. "After competing for the first time this year, I will know what to expect next year and I can now practice and go for gold."
Congratulations! You make us proud!
