OSTC provides many exciting for students to become involved in campus life.

American Welding Society (AWS)

Active participation in an AWS Student Chapter provides the knowledge, experience and networking needed for a successful career in the welding industry. Meet other welding students and professionals at Chapter meetings, local AWS Section meetings and the FABTECH International and AWS Welding Show.

Business Professionals of America (BPA)

The BPA is a national career and technical student organization that seeks to contribute to the preparation of a world-class workforce through the advancement of leadership, citizenship, academic and technological skills. BPA serves students who are enrolled in business education. 

First Robotics Competition

First Robotics Competition combines the excitement of sports with the rigors of science and technology. Teams of students raise funds, design a brand, hone teamwork skills and build and program robots to perform prescribed tasks against a field of competitors.

Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA)

HOSA develops leadership and technical skill competencies through a program of motivation, awareness and recognition. HOSA seeks to enhance the delivery of compassionate, quality healthcare by providing opportunities for knowledge, skill and leadership development of all health science education students.

Michigan Industrial and Technology Education Society (MITES)

MITES students and teachers once again demonstrated that the "I" (Industrial) and "T" (Technology) in MITES are alive and well in the State of Michigan. MITES continues to work at bridging the gap between industry’s need of qualified, skilled workers and hard-working, career minded students that would fulfill that need.

MICRO - Electric Vehicle Competition

Teams design and build a miniature electric vehicle powered by one, AA dry cell battery. Vehicles compete by racing up inclines while pulling weighted trailers.

National FFA Organization

The National FFA Organization believes in the future of agriculture and seeks to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for leadership, personal growth, career success and education. FFA is not just for students who want to be production farmers; FFA also welcomes members who aspire to careers as teachers, doctors, scientists, business owners and more.

Oakland County Competitive Robotics Association (OCCRA)

OCCRA is a local association formed to increase the number of students involved in competitive robotics. This is a full contact robotics competition, where students control 120-pound robogladiators that are student-designed and built. 

ProStart

ProStart gives students the exciting opportunity to learn about the art of cooking and managing restaurants by training with professional chefs. ProStart also provides opportunities to earn college credit and make money while students are still in high school.

SkillsUSA

SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. SkillsUSA helps students excel by providing educational programs, events and competitions that support career and technical education in the nation's classrooms.

VEX Robotics

The VEX Robotics Competition challenges teams of students with designing and building a robot to play against other teams in a game-based engineering challenge. Classroom STEM concepts are put to the test on the playing field as students learn lifelong skills in teamwork, leadership, communications and more.
