College Planning

Students who are exposed to career and technical education are empowered to discover their passion and direction sooner, so they can make the most of their education.

Students who plan for, and have opportunities to experience a career before deciding to pursue it often feel more confident about the choices they make. One of the most of the valuable, yet overlooked benefits career focused education gives to students is the ability to save thousands of dollars on the cost of a college education.

Being college-ready means being prepared for any post-secondary education or training experience, including study at two- and four-year institutions leading to certificates, licenses, apprenticeship, associate degrees and/or bachelor's degrees.

Being ready for college means that a high school graduate has acquired the reading, writing and mathematical knowledge and skills necessary to qualify for and succeed in entry-level, credit-bearing college courses without the need for remedial coursework.
