Cosmetology Students Attend Beauty Conference
Cosmetology Students recently attended the “Six Figure Esthetician and Beauty Biz Conference” held at Auburn Hills Marriott Pontiac.
The conference included a professional panelist and brunch. The panel consisted of a licensed esthetician and spa owner, a hairstylist and salon owner, a doctor who discussed the importance of mental health, and many other professionals.
Many vendors were present to allow students to shop for clothing, jewelry, skincare products, and more. Students learned about building a client base and how to connect through webinars, texts, coffee meetups and other collaborative strategies.
Students also had the opportunity to speak with an insurance agent who discussed the importance of having the correct insurance coverage as a professional and/or salon owner.
Cosmetology Instructor Anne Tomshack said, "Everyone was very happy that we attended. I'm hoping next year we can do this again!"
