Eight OSTC Northeast Students Advance to SkillsUSA National Competition

Fifty-seven OSTC-NE students competed at the SkillsUSA State Conference in Grand Rapids from April 11–13, accompanied by nine instructors.

Competitors represented programs including Automotive Technology, Collision Repair, Cosmetology, Culinary Arts, Construction Technology, and Welding.

Eight students earned the opportunity to represent Michigan at the SkillsUSA National Championships in Atlanta, Georgia from June 22–28:

  • Addison Kleiner & Atiana Giglio (Cosmetology - Esthetics)
  • Alexis Nowland, Symaria Parker-Smith, Shania Patton, Sarai Roy (Cosmetology - Entrepreneurship)
  • Stephen Green (Automotive - Marine Service Technology)
  • Trent Lapointe (Construction - Commercial Roofing Demo)

We’re proud of every student who competed, and we wish our national qualifiers the best of luck as they showcase their talents on the national stage in Atlanta this June.
