Students in the Entrepreneurship and Advanced Marketing program at Oakland Schools Technical Campus Northeast refined their sales and marketing strategies through a Valentine’s Day fundraiser featuring Nothing Bundt Cakes.

Students coordinated pre-orders, analyzed previous sales data and evaluated attendance patterns from sending districts to determine inventory needs. The planning resulted in a complete sellout.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will support future field trips and the class's ongoing weekly bagel sales.

“We’re learning how to sell things, how to market them,” said Abby Sisoler of Stoney Creek High School. She explained that students compare notes from prior sales and review attendance calendars to anticipate which schools may be off on the day of the event.

Campus leaders said the project provided students with hands-on experience in forecasting, budgeting, and customer engagement.
