Five outstanding OSTC-NE students were awarded the prestigious Jon H. Poteat Scholarship, each receiving $1,000 for their excellence in career and technical education. The scholarship, named after NTHS co-founder Jon H. Poteat, is available exclusively to active members who embody the core values of skill development, leadership, and service.
The 2025 recipients are Sadie Hall (Cosmetology, Bloomfield Hills High School), Alexis Nowland (Cosmetology, Rochester High School), Naomi Webster (Cosmetology, Ferndale High School), Mason Holmes (Computer Programming, International Technology Academy), and Izabela Larkins (Machining, International Technology Academy). The announcement was made on May 15 by the National Technical Honor Society.
