OSTC-NE Culinary Students Train with Industry Experts at ProStart Boot Camp

Culinary Arts students from Oakland Schools Technical Campus–Northeast sharpened their competitive and technical skills during the Michigan Hospitality Foundation’s ProStart Boot Camp, held Oct. 31 at the Suburban Collection Showplace.

The intensive workshop brought together culinary industry professionals who led hands-on sessions designed to prepare high school students for the upcoming Michigan ProStart Invitational in the spring. Students practiced knife skills, menu execution, teamwork under pressure and industry-standard techniques throughout the day.

The boot camp is a key component of OSTC-NE’s preparation pathway for culinary competitions and careers in Michigan’s growing hospitality sector.
