Oakland Schools Technical Campus Northeast and Stoney Creek High School student, Samuel Van Daele, recently achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest honor in scouting, after completing a service project that enhanced the Washington Township Historical Museum.

For his project, he overhauled the museum’s front landscape by replacing plants and shrubs, adding new seating, and refreshing the overall curb appeal of the historic site. To support the work, he organized a pop bottle drive and secured community donations to help fund the improvements.

The project not only benefits visitors but also preserves the museum’s welcoming atmosphere for years to come.
