Students Excel at SkillsUSA Regional Competitions

Throughout February, students from the Cosmetology, Automotive Technology, Collision Repair and Refinishing, and Culinary Arts/Hospitality programs showcased their talents at the Regional SkillsUSA competitions.

The students' achievements in various professional disciplines have qualified many of them for the upcoming state competitions in the spring, showcasing their various skills and dedication to becoming experts in their crafts.

In a notable return to service, OSTC-NE's culinary program proudly welcomed back two of its distinguished alumni to serve as judges for this year's SkillsUSA regional competition.

Noah Boice, a previous student of the program, has since taken his talents to the Daxton Hotel in Birmingham, demonstrating the high caliber of chefs the program produces. Alongside him, Jodee Reyes, who has risen to the position of Banquet Chef at the Detroit Golf Club, returned to offer her expertise.

Their participation as judges not only highlights their individual successes but also underscores the lasting impact of the OSTC-NE Culinary program on its graduates.
