In a fun, cross-department project, OSTC Northwest Culinary Arts/Hospitality and Graphic & Communication Design students teamed up to learn 3D pumpkin carving with Chef Douglas Ganhs from Oakland Community College.
Chef Ganhs demonstrated the artistry behind intricate pumpkin carving, showing students how these creations could even be repurposed for culinary presentations and food-related uses.
This collaborative project allowed students to blend artistic skills with practical culinary applications, inspiring new ways to approach both design and food presentation.
This exciting experience gave students a firsthand look into potential graphic design and manufacturing career paths.
