OSTC Northwesdt Health Science Students Earn Top Honors at HOSA State Conference
OSTC Northwest’s Health Sciences students showed impressive results at the 2025 HOSA State Leadership Conference, held April 16–19 in Traverse City.
Of the 18 students who competed, nine reached the stage of finishing in the top 10 of their events, and several are now advancing to HOSA’s International Leadership Conference.
Danae Roberts, Alexis Lindley, and Vanessa Zhigun finished in the top three of the Healthcare Issues Exam, earning international qualification. In the CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) event, Sammantha Frost and Madelyn Gipson took home gold medals and will also advance.
Two students, Roberts and Kaylee Wright, placed in the top 10 in two separate events.
“These results reflect the students’ deep commitment to the health care field,” said instructor John Bonner. “Their knowledge, teamwork, and professionalism are exactly what we hope to see in the next generation of health professionals.”
