OSTC-Northwest Environmental Science Team Competes at National Level
Mark Edwards

After capturing the state championship at Michigan State University in May, the OSTC-Northwest Agriscience and Environmental Technologies team represented Michigan at the National Competition in Indianapolis on Oct. 29–30.

Team members Charlotte Pinkerton, Johey Kimmerer, Kavay Chauhan, Micah Tomes, and Madalyn Webber competed in the Environmental Science category, testing their knowledge in aquatic ecology, forestry, soil science, wildlife management, and ecological problem-solving.

The team earned placement in the silver division, marking only the second time in 15 years that a Michigan team has achieved that honor.

OSTC proudly congratulates the students and their instructors, Joel Berry and Kendra Adams, for their outstanding performance and dedication to environmental education and sustainability.
