OSTC Northwest Students Shine at MSU Fall Design Day
Students from OSTC Northwest’s Engineering, Robotics, and Mechatronics (ERM) program were among four schools invited to participate in Michigan State University’s (MSU) Fall Design Day, an event hosted by the university’s College of Engineering.
During the event, students toured MSU’s engineering facilities, engaged with graduating senior engineering students to explore their capstone projects, and participated in hands-on experiences. Activities included a K’NEX Bridge Team Build challenge, programming and coding a VEX robot, and applying circuit principles in an LED Labyrinth Competition.
OSTC Northwest students showcased their teamwork and problem-solving skills, ultimately winning the K’NEX Bridge Team Build challenge.
Under the guidance of instructor Chuck Beyer and Dean David Wyatt, the experience gave students valuable exposure to engineering concepts and career pathways while connecting them with industry professionals and university faculty.
