The Northeast Campus Cosmetology students worked in teams to build creative representations of skin structure. Each group presented their project to the rest of the class and describe the layers, glands and functions of the skin.
The Skin Structure chapter is part of a bigger unit named Skin Structure, Growth & Nutrition. This project was assigned to Junior and Senior Classes. Using a detailed rubric students were instructed be creative without posters and powerpoint presentations.
“I am really into project based learning and am a firm believer that learning is definitely related to the amount of fun we have while doing so," said instructor Tracey Heath.
