Congratulations to OSTC-NE student Aracely Hernandez Ramos who is a U.S. Presidential Scholars Program nominee. The U.S. Presidential Scholars Program recognizes and honors the nation’s most distinguished graduating high school seniors.
Hernandez Ramos is one of five students nominated in Michigan in the Career and Technical Education category for this honor. A senior at International Technology Academy in Pontiac, Hernandez Ramos is in her second year of the Automotive Technology program at OSTC-NE.
Juwan Willis, Hernandez Ramos’ teacher, nominated her for the award.
“Aracely is confident in her ability and believes in producing quality results, so much so that she inspires others to raise their quality of workplace behavior and pride in workmanship with her actions,” said Willis. “Aracely is a non-traditional student who inspires traditional students to work hard to keep up with her in academics and hands-on tasks.”
