Students showcase their talents at SkillsUSA State Competition

Students from various programs across the campus recently participated in the three-day SkillsUSA State Conference in Grand Rapids. The conference provides students with exposure to industry leaders who help prepare them for hands-on skills contests, where they are evaluated on the spot. 

“The students displayed various levels of growth in their collaborative abilities, communication styles, ability to adapt, critical thinking in order to problem-solve while maintaining a high level of integrity,” said OSTC-NE Instructor Mr. Willis. "They presented their positive personal brand, and rated high on their formative Technology, Literacy and Customer Focus assessments.”

Students Serving Mothers Day Brunch

The Culinary students were happy to serve 60 guests for Mother’s Day Brunch on Thursday, May 5. The spread included made-to-order omelets, smoked salmon, shrimp cocktail, chicken and waffles, salads, fruit, rolls and a dessert station.
