Criminal Justice Student Headed to the Nation’s Capital

Criminal Justice student Mia Hines has earned a scholarship to attend the National Youth Leadership Forum (NYLF), in the Law and CSI program this summer in Washington D.C.

Mia was nominated by OSTC-Southeast Criminal Justice Instructor Crystal Nowka who says, “Mia has been a positive role model in the criminal justice program from the start of the school year. She engages in class daily, completes thorough and meaningful work, and is passionate about crime scene investigation and forensics. She is ideal for attending the Law and CSI National Student Leadership Program. Congratulations Mia!

Mia will spend six days in Washington, D.C. focusing on a path to a career in law or crime scene investigation (CSI). She will join other high school students from around the country for this extraordinary opportunity to hear from subject-matter experts, gain invaluable hands-on experience, and be empowered to realize her potential fully. As a bonus, she will stay at the luxurious Westfields Marriott Hotel.
