On Friday, April 11, students in the Electrical and Energy program visited the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 58 Detroit Electrical Industry Training Center in Warren.
They explored apprenticeship and training opportunities within the electrical industry. They learned how structured education paired with real-world experience opens doors to careers in the design, installation, and maintenance of vital systems.
The tour deepened students’ understanding of the profession and the role IBEW plays in shaping Michigan’s electrical workforce.
