On Wednesday, April 2, juniors and seniors in the Health Sciences program attended a hands-on Stop the Bleed training session at Henry Ford Hospital. Under the guidance of hospital staff, students learned how to control bleeding, apply pressure, and use tourniquets in emergencies.
The training concluded with each student earning a nationally recognized Stop the Bleed certification. One student shared, “It’s empowering to know I could save a life in an emergency.” The training emphasized the importance of emergency preparedness and collaboration between OSTC and the healthcare community.
