Marketing Program Launches Chick-fil-A Leader Academy
Mark Edwards

The Marketing Program at Oakland Schools Technical Southeast Campus will participate in the Chick-fil-A Leader Academy beginning Feb. 2, joining a national leadership and service initiative focused on developing teamwork, responsibility, and community impact.

Through the program, students in 46 states are collaborating on a nationwide effort to distribute one million books to underserved youth. The Southeast Campus Marketing Program has received five boxes of books, which students will package and distribute to a local community organization of their choice.

Students will also complete an Impact Project, identifying a specific community need and designing a project to address it. The initiative allows students to apply marketing, planning, and leadership skills while developing real-world solutions. Similar projects at other schools have included community events, outreach efforts and intergenerational engagement.

This marks the first year the campus has participated in Chick-fil-A Leader Academy. The program is designed to help students grow as leaders while making a measurable, positive impact in their community.
