Meet Our Future Healthcare Star: A Second-Year Health Sciences Student
Kaylah Walker, a 2nd-year Health Sciences student from Bloomfield Hills High School, has a heart full of ambition and a passion for making a difference. She's paving her way towards becoming a certified Patient Care Technician (PTC).
To her, the Health Sciences program is not just a class, it's a family. She cherishes her time at OSTC, where she feels seen and appreciated daily. But her journey doesn't stop within the school's walls. She's a prominent figure in the Student Health Awareness Committee, sharing valuable insights with fellow students about self-care in and out of the classroom.
From Monday to Thursday afternoons, you can find her at Beaumont Hospital, where she diligently serves as a Nursing Aide through the WBL program. Fridays are dedicated to her education at OSTC-Southeast, where she's honing her skills and knowledge.
As she looks ahead, she envisions a bright future. With plans to enroll in the Nursing program at the University of Tampa next year, she's determined to become a traveling nurse, touching lives across the globe.
