OSTC-SE Hosts Successful Inaugural Mock Interview Week

During the week of March 16-20, Oakland Schools Technical Campus Southeast held its first Mock Interview Week, giving students an opportunity to practice professional interview skills in a real-world setting.

Dressed professionally and equipped with resumes, students met with interviewers from local businesses and industry partners. Staff members supported students throughout the week by offering guidance on eye contact, handshakes, and projecting confidence.

The event, the result of months of planning and collaboration, brought more than 30 professionals to campus to interview students across all 13 programs. Feedback from interviewers was overwhelmingly positive, with many praising students for their professionalism, communication skills, and charisma. Guests were also served food prepared by the Culinary program.

The success of the multi-day event reflected the coordination and commitment of the entire OSTC-SE staff and marked an important step toward expanding career-readiness experiences for students.
