OSTC-SE Students Elected to Michigan SkillsUSA State Officer Team

Two Oakland Schools Technical Campus Southeast students earned leadership positions during the 54th Annual Michigan SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference held April 17-19 at the Amway Grand Hotel.

Ti-Maiah Marshall was elected vice president of the 2026-27 Michigan SkillsUSA State Officer Team after campaigning with the slogan “Make it Matter with Marshall.” During her campaign, Marshall emphasized student inclusion and leadership opportunities as priorities for the upcoming year.

Kendal Hill, a junior at Ferndale High School, was installed as a regional representative after running the campaign “It’s a Big Deal … Vote for Hill,” featuring campaign buttons with a 3D pickle design.

“What an awesome opportunity to be part of a leadership team that focuses on Career and Technical education while engaging students to become successful leaders,” Hill said during her interview speech.

Both students will attend the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference in Atlanta in June for leadership training and will also participate in the National Leadership Training Institute in Washington, D.C., in September 2026.
