Students from Oakland Schools Technical Campus Southeast visited Berkshire Middle School on April 10 to participate in the school’s annual Career Fair, introducing more than 700 middle school students to Career and Technical Education opportunities.

Representatives from Engineering, Robotics and Mechatronics; Culinary and Hospitality; Graphic Arts and Communication; Collision Repair and Refinishing; Automotive Technology; and Health Sciences brought interactive displays and hands-on activities for sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade students.

Middle school students participated in a variety of experiences, including pickling cucumbers, learning about automotive painting, programming robots, changing spare tires, creating keychains and practicing safe degloving procedures while learning directly from OSTC-SE students about their campus experiences.

OSTC-SE recognized Ms. Haley and Mr. Kortlandt for organizing the event, along with student representatives Andrzej Olesewski, Cincere Jefferson, Molly Buckheim, Jordan Lee, Ben Hughes, Lucy Selden and Dominik Barrett for sharing their stories and representing the campus.
