The Oakland Schools Technical Campus Southeast (OSTC-SE) FIRST Robotics team, FRC 7769 - "The CREW", earned a coveted spot at the 2025 FIRST World Championship in Houston, Texas, after a standout season filled with record-breaking performances and statewide recognition.

The season’s momentum began at the Belleville District Tournament, where The CREW finished qualifications with an impressive 11-1 record, securing the #2 rank out of 40 teams. The team joined the top playoff alliance and helped set a new world record for the highest combined alliance score in FIRST Robotics history, an astounding 436 points. They went on to win the tournament and were honored with the Quality Award for their robot’s exceptional design and durability.

From April 3–5, the team advanced to the Michigan State Championship, hosted at Saginaw Valley State University. Competing against 160 of the state’s best teams, The CREW delivered a commanding performance, achieving:

  • First place in Highest Combined Clean Score
  • Tied for 5th in Highest Overall Clean Score with 222 points (ranking 8th overall)
  • Second place in Highest Teleop Score with 179 points

Despite a challenging playoff schedule, the team finished 13th in its division and was selected as the 4th overall pick in alliance selection. They advanced to the semifinals and ended the event as the 14th-ranked team in Michigan, earning enough ranking points to qualify for the FIRST World Championship.
