OSTC Students Represent at SkillsUSA Fall Leadership Conference
On Monday, Oct. 14, 11 OSTC-SE students traveled to Lansing for the SkillsUSA Fall Leadership Conference. With 10 students from the Culinary Arts program and one from the Construction program, they were accompanied by Mr. Channey and Chef Popa.
"We're proud of our students for attending this important leadership event," said Mr. Channey. "SkillsUSA provides incredible opportunities for career and technical education students to grow as leaders."
The conference included workshops, networking, and leadership activities, covering teamwork, public speaking, and career planning.
"It was an incredible experience to be surrounded by so many passionate, driven young people," Chef Popa added. "Our students returned inspired and ready to put their new leadership skills into practice."
The OSTC-SE community appreciates Mr. Channey’s commitment to supporting students in this valuable learning opportunity.
