Snowpile Toy Drive: Bringing Joy to Children’s Hospital
From Thursday, Nov. 16 to Thursday, Dec. 7, OSTC-Southeast staff and students participated in "Snow Pile", a toy drive for the Children’s Hospital in Detroit.
The initiative aimed to brighten the lives of children facing health challenges. The toy drop-off at Detroit Children’s Hospital in Troy on December 8th was not only a gesture of kindness but also a learning experience for the students, who gained insights into the struggles of these young patients.
“Our students were able to see the importance of giving back, and the overall feeling of helping those who are in need, especially during the holiday season,” said OSTC-Southeast Special Populations Consultant Nicole Bell. “On the drive back to campus, the conversation between the students was very positive and engaging, especially in regard to community service.”
