Student Services' Toy Drive for Children's Hospital

From November 28 – December 9 OSTC-Southeast staff and students contributed to operation “Snow Pile” for the second year in a row, a toy drive to support the Children’s Hospital in Detroit.

“Our students were able to see the importance of giving back, and the overall feeling of helping those who are in need, especially during the holiday season,” said OSTC-Southeast Student Support Specialist Eric Scott. “On the drive back to campus, the conversation between the students was very positive and engaging, especially in regard to community service.”

Mr. Scott accompanied by several students traveled to the hospital to drop the toys off in person. It was a positive eye-opening opportunity for the students to visit with kids who are challenged with severe health concerns.
