Students Shine at Detroit Autorama
Mark Edwards

At the heart of the motor city, Oakland Schools Technical Campus Southeast's Collision Repair Students made a significant impact at The Detroit Autorama, the world's premier car show. The students attracted attention and praise for their craftsmanship by showcasing a 2004 GMC Canyon with a captivating color-shifting paint job.

The vehicle, painted in hues that shifted between purple, green, orange, yellow, and gold, underwent extensive modifications, showcasing the students' skills and dedication. The project, completed just in time for the show, marked a first for Oakland Schools, setting a new benchmark for future endeavors.

Over the weekend, the students were honored to meet automotive industry luminary Dave Kindig, who offered valuable insights. Additionally, an interview with Channel 7 News highlighted the students' hard work and dedication, further celebrating their success at the event.
