Scholarships

The Oakland Schools Technical Campuses provide several career and educational scholarship opportunities for our students. Explore the information below and contact your career counselor with any questions.

Michigan Career Placement Association Scholarship 
The Michigan Career Placement Association (MCPA) provides services to professionals hosting students involved with work-based learning experiences. MCPA established a scholarship to recognize and reward a graduating senior who has demonstrated extraordinary efforts and realized success from placement in a work-based learning opportunity. 

Applications deadline will be announced in the Winter 2019.

Oakland Community College Chancellor's Scholarship
The Oakland Community College Chancellor's Scholarship is awarded to one senior enrolled at each Oakland Schools Technical Campus. The $2,500 scholarship is to be used for the first academic year following the student's high school graduation. Recipients must attend Oakland Community College at least full-time (12 credit hours minimum) for both fall and winter semesters.

Applications deadline will be announced in the Winter 2019.

Oakland County Technical Education Association Scholarship (OCTEA)
The OCTEA awards two scholarships to seniors graduating with at least a 2.0 GPA who participated in a career and technical education program. Contact your campus career counselor for more information.

Tom Cain Scholarship
The Tom Cain Scholarship is awarded to graduating seniors enrolled at OSTC. This scholarship rewards students based on the quality of a written essay in combination with teacher and counselor recommendations. 

Applications deadline will be announced in the Winter 2019.

Oakland Schools Education Foundation's Scholarships for Success
Scholarships awards range between $500 and $7,500, and apply to the following school year.  Awards are based on interest and participation in career technical education, academic achievement and career goals. Students who are awarded a scholarship are honored in February of each year at an award breakfast held at Oakland Schools.
